Welcome to the “Baby wants his Bottle Podcast. My name is Martin Anton Smith a New Zealand based creative. In this episode , A Poem called “ Zombies” is read (,that’s in Part 2) and it’s core concepts are discussed(,part 1). In Part 3 , after the poem has been read, I will try resolve any inconsistencies between the concepts I talked of, and the poem content. Of course, there will always be such inconsistencies by the nature of analysis vs content and subjectivity is a constant reality. I do this in reverse fashion , as I think this helps the reader understand where I’m trying to go so much better . The poem was written in jan 2021, a time of even more global stress than was normal, with the Covid pandemic now 1 year on. People who were already under undue societal pressure we’re subject to even more , and I argue this is bad as the world made zombies of people before the pandemic, so what will they turn into next with then pandemic? Will society be able to handle this psychological and sociocultural effect ? Let’s go to part 1 where I discuss concepts.

Part1

This Prose Poem was a fun off the cuff thought process, it’s simply an observation that in the hustle bustle of modern western life in the twenty first century, too many of us have become zombies. This state of affairs has come about , I think via bad cultural programming , which too often encourages social rewards for things and behaviours that are unhealthy and that they are wildly unsuited too . In Short , I think the Calvinist doctrine of toil and materialism is far too limited to make a human being properly content. This false doctrine has by now turned to many people into walking modern day zombies. They are characterised by anger, early ageing, too many unsuitable responsibilities such as : , the wrong partners, too many children, high debt, codependent relationships, working in the wrong professions for their natural temperament. Note earlier I used the term “content “ I say content because the idea a person could be “happy” all the time, and if they are not happy all the time, their is a problem. I see this as an unrealistic premise. This notion that you can be happy by taking on the wrong things, has been spread by the socialisting institutions such as schools , workplaces, politicians, corporations, prominent families and , of course mass media. It is a virus in itself.

The antidote of course is to find the right fit for ourselves, without entering a life of folly. This correct mix of fit and responsibilities is the definition of the concept of “contented ness” . I think being content is realistic and achievable for mostly everyone , who does not have genetic onset serious health issues. Being content allows us to reach higher levels of existence without forgetting about society so much that it withers away. I hope the readers of this poem will think about “happiness vs contentedness” and cast a critical eye of those persuasive forces (“ The Zombie creators, if you will) , that are gaining power from the idea you should toil away and engage in unhealthy aims and behaviours. I should also note that the biblical references to “ mark of the beast” and “satanism” should be seen as figurative rather than literal – I am using the old tool writers use called exaggeration for effect. But of course no one can disprove supernatural/Biblical otherworld forces either, this is why I currently roughlysit on the fence on these matters. Now let’s get to part 2 the poem.

part 2 – poetry reading

Zombies by Martin Anton Smith

2020/2021 , The Era WHERE ZOMBIES WERE KNOWN TO BE 100% REAL. There is a Zombie epidemic going on in THE WORLD, ZOMBIES are those people who casually strip the dignity of other human beings, this tactic is done as by denying another’s dignity, by the method of aloofness, alienating others and undue disinterestedness, it is a more indirect and strategic form of BULLYING, which is also SATANIC. 

AETIOLOGY: These Zombies do these unspeakable and morose acts , in the hope to convince themselves and others watching, that they are actually not very very dull and uninteresting people. It is a “smoke and mirrors” tactic – a classic method of DECEPTION , and THUS a MARK OF THE BEAST. This behaviour is a classic small town move but now a Global Phenomenon. This is what a real Zombie is. AVOID the ZOMBIE, DON’T BE A ZOMBIE, DON’T BE FRIENDS WITH A ZOMBIE. The only Sure way to defeat a ZOMBIE is to realise, If They are invisible to you, then they can be VAPORIZED IMMEDIATELY. Part 3 inconsistencies and congruence between the poem and my concept analysis in part 1.

What I have just realised is that my talk of Zombies in part 1 is actually missing a key element that the poem talks of or alludes to – the poem really discusses the more dastardly veiled but well organised principle that creates the more unsophisticated zombie as it’s fruit. In part one I talk of the people who become zombies, and how they operate on a surface level – these are the people who are pawns to the sinister higher order zombies that are more the subject of the poem. The Sinister Zombie energy is that which is fairly criticised in the poem – let it be known that in this poem, my jabs thrusts and volleys are aimed at this Zombie creating force, not the garden variety zombie fruit. The masses are mostly in well over their heads. My wish would of course be that the population of average joe’s who have been duped into becoming garden variety zombies be freed. The question arises, what or who are the higher level malevolent forces that create this system of enslavery? It is easy to say they are simply the cartel corporations and their institutional investors who hold the puppet strings of the zombified masses, and this is of course true, but I think there are deeper forces at play. These deeper forces are seemingly fundamentally unknowable to us, and that is of course a giant “spanner in the works.”.you cannot fix what you don’t know, or worse those Rumsfeld Unknowns – the things you don’t know you don’t know. If we look at history, and the rise and fall of empires – it seems this level of malevolence has to be beaten by two concurrent forces 1, natural anaemic decay (like the Romans) and 2, a rising replacement Empire (like the Ottomans). I guess we in 2021 now must ask the following

Who is / are the ruling Empire globally ?

What point in it’s life cycle is it? Rise? Plateau? Falling?

Who would be the rising Empire?

Will the Zombification of the masses problem be solved in a mighty tussle where by the new ottomans of the 21st

Century over come the Rehashed Pseudo Roman Empire in place now ?

This is good food for thought, and will be the seeds for future poems and philosophy on a later day.
